It’s waltz day! Or at least it is to me, because I love to waltz. I didn’t know it for the longest time, because I didn’t know how to waltz. I just knew that I loved particular dance sequences in musicals and certain songs made me want to dance – and once I grew up, I learned those songs were all in three! Keith knows now if there is a song in three playing, I will come wandering along looking for a partner. Benjamin messaged and pointed out that it would be soon be 1:23 on 12/31/23. I got ready and was available for the moment! Keith waltzed me in his office for about 15 seconds, then tried to get away – but oh no! I made him waltz for the whole minute. There’s no cheating in waltzing.
I love numbers. Mostly, I love the number 8 because it is so symmetrical and round and nice, but I also love number patterns and the way numbers can fit together. We were talking about 123123 day, which led us to wonder about some other numbers from this year. Here are some statistics from our year:
5 = We took five ride-on-a-plane trips
5 = We visited five countries
11 = We visited eleven states, plus Puerto Rico
54 = We were gone overnight 54 nights
9 = We had nine pizza oven gatherings
35 = We went to 35 shows: 20 of them were musicals, 12 were plays, and three were dance performances
44 = We went to 44 concerts: 20 were big or small brass groups, two were comedians, and Bruce, Andre Bocelli, and Patti Lupone were the big names
51 = Keith played in 51 concerts or rehearsals
113 = I went to work 113 days
69 = I read 69 books
PS The POTD is from Colleen Raye’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve show at the Phipps today.
And let’s not forget the number of BLOG POSTINGS you made this year! So much fun for a whole lot of us!!! Thanks!!!
That’s funny – never thought of that.. but it is one/day, so 365 🙂 I wish I knew how many times Keith had to remind me to do it. It wasn’t every day, but it was way more than half of the time. You’d think I’d learn, but, no.
