48 Degrees

Happy birthday, Adalynn!

It was forecast to be below 45 degrees last night, so Keith brought in the big potted plants – hibiscus and poinsettias. Now the front hall is a jungle. It’s nice. I don’t know if it got that cold – I saw 48 before I went to sleep at 3am (I was up reading, because it was the last night of summer vacation. I go to work TOMORROW!).

I visited a friend in assisted living, and he is doing great. He said he hasn’t felt this good in three years and I just couldn’t be happier. We had a great group visit. Wonderful afternoon.

I got home and Keith had installed a new kitchen faucet. Not only do you just touch it to make water come out, the water comes out with decent water pressure. Our last faucet did neither of those things. Win! He said it was really hard to uninstall the previous one, so I thank him so much.

Alexander returned with another kitty-carrying box tonight and we easily plopped them in and they went home. Alexander reported they were not happy on the drive but returned to home with no concerns at all. Yep, here we are, home again. Sophie caught a mouse within 40 minutes of her return. Her vacation did not dull her masterful hunter-ness. Good girl.
