Leaf peeping to Tacos

Monday, October 10, 2022

It was a glorious, warm sunny day, so Keith and I jumped in the car to go look at pretty leaves. We went east. Meh. We went south. Green (duh). We went north. Yay! We decided to go to the Patriot’s Tavern (Patriot was on my US history vocabulary list today – coincidence? Maybe…). We did take out during the pandemic there, and since it was too far from home to have warm food if we drove home, we had a lovely date sitting outside the restaurant in our car…in the snow. Anyway, we were enthusiastic for Ale potted beef, because it is amazing.

Unfortunately, a sign on the door said Closed due to staffing issues. Bummer! We went back to downtown Stillwater and went to Nacho Mama’s. We each ordered a meal, but ended up eating just Keith’s – stuffing us both – because his would not make good leftovers (lettuce, crunchy shell) – and brought mine home for dinner tomorrow. The picture of the day is the ceiling at the restaurant. It made me happy just to be sitting there – delicious food was a bonus.

  1. Are you sure the potd is the ceiling? I only see two meals.
P.S. you have been doing great with the dates. You must be tired or jet lagged because there is no date today….
