I don’t go out much by myself. I go to work. I go to the library. And sometimes I go to Sam’s club. I learned to go to Sam’s during pandemic. They have an awesome check out app – you just scan everything with your phone, click check out, and you are out the door with no waiting and no human interaction. During pandemic, I would just go in and run around like crazy and zoom out. Today, I had lunch. I was just doing whatever I wanted to do – Alexander calls it “mad with power”.
The Sam’s Club marketing people should be told that their message (email? app thingy? I don’t remember, but I got it and I acted on it) that a hot dog and soft drink had gone down in price TWELVE CENTS, and I was on it. It didn’t even matter that I don’t like hot dogs that much. I’d been to work from 7:30 – 11 to work out second trimester with my co-teacher (who will no longer be working. She is going to take second trimester off and focus on herself. I may or may not be taking her place full. Stay tuned.) and I was hungry. I went into Sam’s and just went right to the snack bar with my empty cart. Because I was reluctant to charge $1.38, I added a pretzel to my order. Mad with Power!
A perfect pre-Thanksgiving repast, I think, Barbara…. And I think I need to check into that Sam’s app….
Oh my goodness, if you go to Sam’s you must have it. It is absolutely the best. You never wait a second to check out – no taking things out of the cart and back in. It’s on the Sam’s club app – scan and go.
You could add chips. That would put you over a $2.00 charge. 😹
I don’t think they have chips at the snack bar. Great snacks there – but a bit unwieldy that you can see the 6 foot high menu from across the store but not while you are at the counter
