It’s shrinking

A week ago, BOTH of the little sticks that tell us where the road and driveway are were BURIED in snow. Not visible! Look how much snow has disappeared! The amazing part about it that there is very little water apparent anywhere. I don’t know what it’s doing – and there are flood warnings everywhere – but I look at the trickle of water in the gutters and it seems very interesting to me. Keith chiseled our snowmen decorations out of the front yard over the weekend and said that he just walked on top of the “snow” because it is basically just white ice. Maybe the snow isn’t melting, it’s just condensing.

I love that when the sun comes out at the end of March in Minnesota, I think it is spring. I’ve been walking out of school in the afternoon not wearing my coat. I checked the temperature this morning – I thought maybe I could just leave my coat at home. It was 12 degrees. I wore my coat. But I didn’t zip it up. Pfft. It’s so funny that in the fall you get a cloudy, 50-degree day with some wind and you literally think your bones are going to break because you are so cold AND you’re wearing a coat! Twelve degrees in March and you’re tough as nails.

The forecast says a couple of inches of snow in morning, but it doesn’t matter. The forecast also says it is going to be 50 degrees on Sunday.

Hahahahahaha! The forecast…..
