Lawn People

We are not lawn people. I want to make that perfectly clear. We can barely keep the grass mowed often enough to keep the city from fining us; yet many years ago Benjamin accused us of being lawn people (because we had him mow the side yard three times in a summer – for Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day). We have embraced our misnomer.

We were at Alexander’s house and got photographic evidence that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Last year he had a couple corn stalks growing in his backyard, presumably planted by passing birds. This year he has a giant, alien-looking weed right in the middle of the backyard.

Of course he does. Makes me feel downright garden-y.

  1. You may not be lawn (grass) people, but you are trophy caliber mulch people. A few more truck loads and you’ll have no grass worry about.

  2. There are people that will take care of your lawn for you. Probably even in Minnesota.
