Our small neighbor is starting to learn to play the trumpet. She came over a couple of weeks ago because she had not had success at the “try an instrument” day at school. She wasn’t able to buzz on the mouthpiece on her first try, so she came for advice. Keith found her a mouthpiece and gave her some tips. She has been practicing on the mouthpiece and has stopped over a few times for more advice. Today, she brought over her trumpet to show us.
If my wishing she will be successful counts for anything, she will be terrific!

Yes, as well as watering our plants while we were in Alaska!
There’s no substitute for the visual image of someone “doing it right” or for the aural image of how an instrument is supposed to sound. This little girl is REALLY fortunate.
I’m hoping she gets going and can come over for motivation and fun.
