Bye Kittens and Benjamin and Sean

I stayed up until 3am reading my book, because I couldn’t put it down. It was a beach read – total escapism to summer (Elin Hildebrandt’s The Nantucket Hotel) and I was just in it. I cannot remember the last time I did that. What a fun. (Yes, what a fun.)

Benjin and Sean got packed up and ready to go just before 3PM. I do not like when they leave, but I do like when some of their travel time is in the daylight. I remember the days when Keith and I thought nothing of leaving Waukesha at 7 or 8 pm, but I don’t like it when it is my children doing it. My friend, Maren, came over to sit on the blue chairs with me and make me not sad that my people had gone. She did a really good job. I don’t remember the last time we had a chance to do that, so it was very overdue and so wonderful.

Keith and I started watching Monarch: Legacy of Monsters on the ApplesTV. We watched two episodes and are very much enjoying it. I was looking up some trivia on the first two episodes and found out that the show is a direct sequel to the 2014 Godzilla, which we did not see. I researched a bit and found that the internet says I won’t really understand the show if I haven’t seen Godzilla, so we switched over to watching the movie. Movie was fine (MONSTERS!), but absolutely nothing happened that isn’t summed up by “Godzilla”. I don’t think we needed to see it before the show, but I guess we will see as we continue the show. I don’t know. Sometimes I wonder if the internet is always right like it supposed to be. Hmmm…
