Early Bird Dinner

Thursday, January 25, 2024

Our early bird is not a senior citizen. He’s 30. Alexander likes to come home from work and have dinner, because he is a minimalist for lunch. We met at the mall at 4:30 to have dinner at Bubba Gumps – and remembered the gift cards this year. Keith usually has the shrimper’s heaven and Alexander says, “I should have had that.” He boldly decided to have it tonight and jumped on the boat (ha! shrimp boat) and I had it too.

We walked in squares around the mall for a long time afterward, then we were so sleepy, it was time to go home to bed. Unfortunately, it was 6:30pm. I got a fun phone call about how ill-behaved and egocentric parents at a 5th grade choir concert are, so I was able to stay awake until a reasonable adult bedtime. I assume Alexander has been asleep under kitties for hours by now.

  1. Yeah, if you don’t think I got home, sat down, had two rumbly kitties pile on me, and unintentionally passed out, you’re wrong.
