We set alarms to be ready to try to join the virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy ride (best ride!!). We pushed the button at exactly 7am and got shut out. I read that on busy days the queue fills up in 2-3 seconds. It was the first time we were every shut out and I was dumbfounded. Huh. I went back to sleep (or just to sleep, because I really didn’t sleep all night. Why? No reason, just for something different I guess) for three hours and Keith went to work. We had lunch in France – my favorite ham and cheese sammiches!! Plus an extra baguette with butter. I wandered Epcot while Keith worked – waiting until 1pm for our second chance at the queue. We got in!
I called Benjamin to tell him I was in Disney World. I knew he would be excited for me. I also knew he already knew. I asked him to guess exactly where I was and it took some guesses, especially after I found an entirely new thing to do. It’s tricky to guess something you don’t know exists. I was walking in hedge maze in the back the UK pavilion. Who knew that was there? I wandered a bit more, shopped around a bit, and just reveled in the absolute perfectness of the weather. It said 85, but was breezy (and not humid) and gorgeous.
Keith and I visited the Journey of Water for the first time. It was lovely. We enjoyed playing in the water and just how pretty it is.
The Flower and Garden Festival flowers are spectacular. None of the pictures come anywhere close to showing how beautiful everything is.
There is a big new spaceship looking dealie in the middle of the lake in World Showcase for the fireworks. We stayed at Epcot tonight and thought the new fireworks show was as good as any we have seen in Epcot before. We strolled slowly around from Mexico to the International gateway afterward. What a beautiful evening. We saw a wedding reception lakeside in Germany, then saw the bride and groom posing for pictures. Then, the bride passed us on the Boardwalk!
