It was Gary’s birthday party in Hudson at the Pitchfork Brewery. Gary and Julie invited folks to come to play in a polka band and eat pizza. We went! There were several trumpets, a trombone, a horn, a drummer, two saxophones, a flute, a baritone, and (at most) six tubas. The party really started when the two clarinetists arrived. I am not kidding. They could really play. Well, everyone could really play. I was very impressed and enjoyed it thoroughly. Having a birthday party is such a good idea.
We had jalapeño popper pizza and macaroni and cheese pizza. I was doing research on different kinds of pizza. They were both really good.
Folks… It doesn’t get ANY better than this – whether you’re a tuba player or not!!!
