The one piece shower dealie that got cut up and taken away yesterday was apparently slightly smaller than the space available for it. The folks who installed it put the plumbing onto a board nailed to the outside of the studs ( instead of leaving space on the other end? That seems like it would have been a better idea). Everything, including the drain, needed to be moved around before the walls for the shower can be built. Luckily for us, Keith knew what to do and did it. I sat on the couch.
So, we’re one day behind schedule now. It may have messed up us getting to Milwaukee to eat custard tomorrow, but otherwise we can work around it. It will be terrific if it is our only surprise.
What is happening in the top picture? Are you burning a piece of shower curtain?
I was demonstrating a heat shield. This is a piece of heavy fabric that you put behind pipes you are soldering to protect what’s behind it (like walls, etc.). It looks cool and sparkly if you just torch it directly as I was doing here.
I have to say that I’m with Nancy – that photo is not computing for me!
