Friends Carla and Mark planned an awesome anniversary gathering for us for today. We were going to be piloted (by their son Jared) down the St. Croix on his pontoon boat, enjoying the afternoon while looking at the gorgeous fall colors we are having. The only bummer part was that Mark and Jared went out in the morning, and the strong wind was freezing and the waves were 3 feet high. Boat ride cancelled.
We still enjoyed together time, eating our unpacked lunch, then playing Flip 7. Together is what we were hoping for with our 40th year gatherings, so it was perfect.
