Keith pointed out that it is nice he has to work, because working does not require walking. I slept in a bit while he worked. I brought lunch up from the pool bar. We went to Epcot to ride Guardians at 3, then I walked all around, trading pins. Most of the cast members were really excited when I found one I wanted. They just started wearing pins again – instead of having pin boards (from pandemic). It’s nice to have more interactions, but there aren’t as many pins on a person as there were on the boards.
The best thing I overheard was this:
“So, there’s a flower festival?”
“Yeah. The flowers will look like princesses.”
“WOW! How do they do that?!”
“I think they have special seeds.”
Obviously, that is botany at its best!
We walked around the lake to the Beach Club to Beaches and Cream for dinner. Brian, our very lovely waiter, was surprised we just ordered one sundae for dinner. I would think more people would do it. They darkened the room and turned on flashing lights to announce our attempt at the “serves 4 people” kitchen sink sundae. The best part of this sundae is the archeological dig – uncovering all the things that they have put in it. The most unusual were the jellied orange slices. We didn’t expect those. We found vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, peppermint bon bon, and strawberry ice cream. A million cherries. Strawberries, pineapple, bananas, hot fudge, peanut butter, yellow cake, brownies, Oreo cookies, Snickers, and chocolate chips under a mountain of whipped cream.
It was late night at Epcot, so we got another Guardians ride, plus Remy and Frozen, then a nice walk home in the (relatively) cool 11pm. I got 29,000 steps, which is quite a few for a leisure day.
The flower princess and pandas are amazing.
Special seeds!
Best exercise plan ever!
It is! It is sooooo easy to walk and walk and never notice it
