A road less traveled

We had to take a detour home from Alexander’s house today. As we were sailing along a street we wouldn’t normally drive on, Keith spotted this beautiful car and pointed it out. I said, “That’s pretty enough to turn around and take a picture,” so we did. We actually pulled over in front of the house to take a picture and after we stopped, I noticed a man moving around in the garage. He spotted us and came out. I waved and called out that the car was beautiful. He beamed. We chatted with him for a few minutes. It’s a 1931 Ford Model A Roadster. My mom was born in 1931 and I liked thinking about that! He said he’d had the car his whole life and that he drives it regularly. I love that. I’m glad it goes out and about and people get to see it.

  1. Believe it or not, my Dad actually had one of these when he was young (in the late 1930s). Wow… What a beauty!

    1. Such a pleasure to see it looking good. We watched a movie that night that was set in 1931. Delightful coincidence
