The big band Keith plays in played in Veteran’s park in River Falls tonight. We were lucky to have several friends join us – which means the world to both of us.
One of the things that has come up quite a few times since we went to Wales is the fact that the brass bandsmen only play brass band. There is literally no time for other playing commitments. Keith loves Metro Brass, his 11tet, but he has played so, so, so many happy hours with big bands, dance bands, quintets, and chamber orchestra. The diversity is challenging and interesting. We are lucky he has had so many opportunities.
