Snow was forecast and it came. Surprise! I saw an official total of 13.5 inches at about 5pm, but it was still snowing – with the opportunity of 2 -4 more inches. School was cancelled – making this a really long winter break. I am sure no one minded.
Keith snowblowed one round last night but hadn’t been outside yet today when he heard shoveling sounds. He thought they sounded close, and checking out the window, he found our 9 year old neighbor shoveling our front walk. She was going around to everyone’s house and shoveling from the driveway to the house. How great is she? Super great- that is the answer!
How lovely for the young neighbour to do that. I’m sure she will receive lots of thanks.
We have had a few days of rain but no rain today and very mild.
I sent some photos to Keith on WhatsApp.

Sheila, could you send the photos again? Since getting a new phone a couple months ago, I had never logged in to WhatsApp, so it wasn’t receiving anything. I’m logged in again now.
Nine year old neighbors are the best!
And the thing is that that little girl is getting a TON of joy from doing all of that shoveling – I kind of doubt she would be doing this if she didn’t really want to do it. “Helping” and the joy thereof is one of the best lessons one can learn at a tender age.
