Happy Easter! Kristine and Mike found a church with an English service. Kristine got Keith’s cold and had a lousy night, so they changed plans for 9am to the 11am service. They brought their bags to us instead of finding a locker after their 10am check out. Our hotel, Sequence Miyashita Park, has a standard 2pm check out. Luxury! Here’s a final look at that wonderful view!

The service was packed to the gills! Most of the congregation was Filipino, but not all by any stretch. A Columbian man said there are basically only Japanese and English language churches. If you speak another language, you pick one of those two.

They visited the Imperial Palace Gardens in the afternoon.

We went to GYG for Mexican food! Keith had a pork enchilada (described as a burrito with stuff on it) and I had a mince burrito. Keith’s was good, but mine was better. Yum!

We went to the Parco mall a few blocks away to look for Pokemon cards. Ha! Apparently cards are not just available all the time. There were LOTS of people buying other stuff. It was kinda fun and kinda overwhelming.

There was a Red Wing shoe store on the floor below the Pokemon shop. Totally surprised me.

I wanted these Lego Crocs.

We decided to Uber to our next hotel rather than deal with luggage on the subway. We have been on some pretty full trains and I didn’t want to deal with it. Keith said it was worth it to him not to have to do luggage. Our Uber came in two minutes. Our driver was wearing a chauffeur livery, including white gloves. We smoothly drove away.

There seemed to be very little traffic on the roads. I guess everyone is on the subway. I was very excited when I saw a volcano out the front window. We have arrived at the Tokyo Disney Resort.

We had 15 minutes until check in. I found a LOT of things to get at the small gift shop. First a hat for Benjamin

Then hangy things that all the kids have that I should have

Japanese Mickey

A giant waffle

Dollies

And an apron

Keith just wandered around. I assume he was looking for a new suitcase to buy.

Our room is great. The bed is the biggest bed(s) ever, I think. The bathroom is about the size of Kris and Mike’s last room.

Their room looks very different from ours. They have a view of Tokyo Bay!

We took the monorail to the downtown Disney type area. Mike took the POTD from the platform.

We had dinner and searched for a grocery store. It was not easy to find. I’d read an article that suggested getting breakfast items from the store there, on the first level. We made it to level 2, and could find no sign of a level 1. So we walked level 2. We found an awesome area of echos. You could hear yourself like crazy, but people five feet away didn’t hear you. I made lots of noise. I liked it.

Then we found level 1!!! No grocery store. Keith wouldn’t say die; he used his phone to translate the map until he found it! It was on the way other side of the entire area – in a disconnected level 1.

We bought all the things. We can eat breakfast for many more days than we have, I think.
