Monday, May 29, 2023 Happy Memorial Day. We went to a garden center to look for perennials. We didn’t really find any, so we bought a whole bunch of annuals. Then we walked around, wondering where to plant them. It was very fun. The very first hole Keith dug he pulled out a spade full

Sunday, May 28, 2023 When Alexander moved into his house 4 years ago next week, he found out that the shower didn’t work in his bathroom. He wasn’t too concerned, because there is a shower stall in his basement (next to the toilet) (both just in the one room of the unfinished basement) that he

Saturday, May 27, 2023 We had to take a detour home from Alexander’s house today. As we were sailing along a street we wouldn’t normally drive on, Keith spotted this beautiful car and pointed it out. I said, “That’s pretty enough to turn around and take a picture,” so we did. We actually pulled over

Friday, May 26, 2023 Several years ago, Washington County started offering food composting. We had a compost bin in our backyard for plant stuff, but this new opportunity included meat and bones and stuff that just does not compost in your backyard. It is so cool. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 We met Alexander at the mall for dinner at Bubba Gump’s – successfully remembering to bring the gift cards (put in Keith’s wallet immediately after getting home from the last attempt). We celebrated Alexander getting a pay raise because “he’s awesome” and “when I’m gone for a day, things sorta fall

Monday, May 22, 2023 It actually came last Thursday, but there has been other stuff to talk about. We had hail damage last year and the insurance people gave us about 40% of what the new roof cost. Of course, they gave it to us last fall and it went into the checking account and

Sunday, May 21, 2023 Well, that was fun. It started off slowly. We parked in our favorite ramp, then headed toward the Target Center. We didn’t get far before the line to get in started. We waited about 40 minutes to get into the arena. The line outside was wildly long, stretching around the building.

Saturday, May 20, 2023 Our friend, Peter, is a volunteer docent at the science museum. He told us that there was a new exhibition of art and nature that he thought we would like. It is called Exquisite Creatures. We were intrigued, then captivated. I highly recommend everyone go to see the exhibit before it
