I had a great sleeping in day, then about an hour after I woke up, I suddenly had a moment of panic that I had forgotten to get up to go shopping! I recovered quickly, because that is not a thing I actually ever do.
Nancy, Keith, and I had a terrific day of relaxing. Nancy and I had a hilarious time playing the NYT game Strands. (Just so you know faol and ungole are not words)
We went to David and Jayne’s, looked at the adorable children, and enjoyed an old- fashioned. David told us about his dream in which he was hired as Waukesha’s elephant keeper. It was his job to open up the elephant barn and let the elephants out to roam the county in the morning and close them up when they came back in evening. They paid him $11,000 a month, which I thought was fine. I think they got a good guy for the job.
It was a perfect day after holiday 🙂
