I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that tires can be sent FedEx by putting a sticker on them and sending them, because I once mailed a coconut home from Florida with a sticker address label on it, but its delivery on the front porch made me laugh. All wheel drive cars need all four tires replaced when one goes bad because they have to have the same tread depth. Since our car only has 16,000 miles on it, there is a lot of life in the remaining tires. Keith called the dealership to confirm that we needed to buy all new tires and the guy there suggested measuring the tread carefully and looking for a tire with the same tread. Keith found one in Chicago on eBay for a very reasonable price, and free shipping. He wondered aloud if it would come in a box
Nope.
Amazing, what would have happened to the tyre if the sticker had fallen off or better still if the address was wrong and someone else had opened the door to a tyre on the door step!
Can you imagine that confusion? Why is there a tire on my porch?!
Hey, the date is missing… I thought I missed a day and went to look for the date….
I fixed it. And the previous ten days that I forgot the date. 🙂
Hmm I read them but didn’t notice it missing. Thanks
I will ask Jim about the tire. He’ll know.
