Dinner in White was scheduled for today, but it was postponed due to rain. We had been going to go with a group of seven and Louise and Tom invited us all over to share our food in the comfort of inside their house. Keith said we should wear black, because white was cancelled. Rebels! The other three people decided to have a quiet night in, so we had dinner and played games (Splendor and Happy Salmon) with Tom and Louise. It was a lovely evening.
And the black is indeed very elegant – doesn’t prohibit fun at all!!!
Probably more comfortable than white – no worries about spilling….
And shows spills less!😁 (says the woman who recently walked out of a restaurant pleased that an expertly wielded napkin had removed all trace of “avocado toast with wood-grilled shrimp, cherry tomatoes, and balsamic reduction” off her face, only to look in a mirror and find generous quantities of all of the above on her shirt.) And you definitely do all look elegant.
I just said about spilling to Jerry! The toast sounds amazing – even if a bit went astray.
