It’s time for our holly, jolly participation in the POTD! The theme of day three is Mittens! Take a picture of some hand coverings or something related and send it to me – text or email – or [email protected] by 10pm December 3 and it will be in that day’s blog. If you want to remain anonymous, let me know – otherwise I will give you credit. You don’t have to play every day – any day or every day is fine! We will count down the days to Christmas together!

I had a dentist appointment today at 4pm. When I made the appointment, I assumed I would be at work today – I didn’t realize there was no school today. I made a comment last week when I realized that, that I wasn’t happy that I wouldn’t be able to stay in my pajamas all day. I was kidding – I don’t usually stay in my jammies all day. When I go to work and have to go to the dentist after school, I write notes and stick them on my backpack and on the steering wheel, because I am afraid I will just my usual thing and drive home. Today, I didn’t have to worry about that. I would just be home and go.
Fast forward to 3:50pm. I was on the phone, chatting while putting away laundry. Keith came in to tell me something and turned around to look at him. I saw something flash on my phone and for some reason, I went over to look at it. It was the 10-minute reminder of my dental appointment. I forgot.
QUICK! Get dressed! Comb your hair! Brush your teeth!
I hadn’t done anything about being awake yet. At 3:50.
I did the things.
But I did not floss.
Because seriously, I was HURRYING.
I made flossing every time I brushed my teeth a new year’s resolution about 15 years ago and I have not missed. I do not break streaks.
I broke the streak. I have no idea what this means. I would really love not to floss. The lazy in me is so strong. Can I start a new streak tomorrow? I hope so…but really, I doubt it. Just imagine that extra 30 seconds or so that I will gain not flossing….
Our happiness pictures come from Kristine, Keith, Benjamin, Louise, Donna, Barbara and Jerry, me, and Alexander! Happy day to everyone!
I don’t think you’re streak of not flossing was broken because they probably flossed your teeth at the dentist. Unless you have to do the flossing. Just saying.
EXCELLENT thought. I don’t think there is a me doing it requirement. I flossed today, so the streak continues.
