No, not baseball. We went to a concert in the afternoon and a musical in the evening. The concert at the Phipps was on the mighty Wurlitzer organ. The organist said his day job was playing nightly at the Organ Piper Pizza restaurant in Milwaukee. I had never heard of it. We should go next time we are in the area. We went with Tom and Louise. Keith and Tom were inadvertently twinning!
We saw the Great Gatsby at the Orpheum. I wasn’t particularly excited about it, because Gatsby is not my favorite book, but the show was terrific. The sets alone were worth the trip. There was a lot of good dancing and the costumes were beautiful. All of the players were terrific – of course. The second act gave everyone a chance to sing high and loud. I will admit it got a bit overdone for me, but the rest of the audience went wild for it.
