Today would have been my gramma Hazel’s 127th birthday. Donna went to Home Depot to get paint and thought to celebrate gramma’s birthday with pansies. She is so thoughtful. They look great on the deck.
I spent the morning in bed with AFib. I haven’t done that in about six years. I spent a chunk of the afternoon at the doctor’s office. I get to have a two-week heart monitor and a new cardiologist. Whee. I felt pretty good later in the day and was somewhat useful.
All four of my siblings got the Wordle in two today. I got a three. Bliss. It was the blog title two days ago. 🤦♀️
I really hoped not to work anyone too hard in helping us move and let us enjoy the change. Even though people have been working hard, I think we are enjoying the time. There were so many high points of the day – I regret I only have a few pictures…
Friends Carla and Louise came and did lots of work wrangling up a BUNCH of stuff. We so appreciate their help.
Friends Daniel and Erick came after working time and moved a LOT of BIG stuff. Tom came with trailer and truck and also carried big stuff. We so appreciate all of their help.
Soon to be neighbors Maren and Mollie brought us dilly bars!
Donna is painting our bedroom! It is like magic!!! We chose the paint colors Indiana Sunset and Old Country Buffet. I think. Paint colors have such great names.
I sent secret coded messages with the louvered blinds to the troops in the castle.

Benjamin carrying over the tiny kids’ desk, then sat down to look inside. He found an UNopened package, addressed to himself at Alexander’s house. He assumes he ordered it for Christmas and needed to quickly hide it, then forgot. Surprise socks!

Brothers happily helping…right before, “What are you doing?” “Trying to get you to turn. Turn. Turn!!” Then so much laughing.

When the king-sized mattress got stuck on the stairs and Daniel had to climb through to get upstairs to help push it down.

When the actual POTD happened – TB was carrying a box spring upright and I said, “Aren’t you going to balance that?”
A late dinner at Tono:

Benjamin realized at now that his bed but not bedding is at the other house. He gathered four blankets, sheets, and a pillow to walk away from home. He called when he got there to let us know he arrived safely – 14 seconds after leaving here.

Another stellar day except for the Afib stuff. I’m amazed that you got so many photos. It’s okay to be an observer – somebody needs to observe. Especially balancing events.
If someone balances a box spring on their chin and no one is there to observe it, did it really happen?
Tom and I have worked very hard helping lots of people move, but your moves are number 1 and 2 on the most fun and everyone should move like this list.
We missed seeing box spring balancing live. In our imaginings, Benjamin not only balanced it in place, but also walked it next door that way, inspiring a parade that would make Dr. Seuss proud.
Yup, this is how moving should be done!
