It seems like I am always sick and Keith is taking care of me. He is an excellent taker-carer. Things get a little dicer when it is my turn to be the care giver.
He had carpal tunnel surgery on his right hand this morning. He had to be there at 6am to be ready for 7:30 procedure. I heard his alarm at 5:15 and then woke up at 7:00. So much for giving an encouraging good-bye. He returned with McDonald’s breakfast at 8:00, then went to work. I asked him if he needed Ibuprofen and he said he was still numb from the procedure.
He worked all day and I did nothing. We ate dinner, then settled in to watch Ted Lasso. Then he started to lower the foot rest on his recliner, saying he needed to get his ice pack to ice his arm. I started dueling foot rest lowering and quickly volunteered to get the ice.
“Where is it?”
Yes, where is it? Where could the ice pack be? Where could he have left it after using it last time?
His feet got down before mine and he was able to get his own ice while I sat in the chair and laughed really, really hard.
Maybe you’re just very good at not bugging people by hovering over them when they’re trying to get better.🤕😊
That’s it! 😁
