It did not feel like the 4th of July – cold, rainy, and no party preparations. No worries though, we had a plane to catch.
We went to the new fancy Delta lounge. Keith tried lots of foods – including a hot dog from the July 4th hot dog stand. I focused on wasabi pretzel mix and tiny cream puffs. So good.
We watched planes. The taking off-ers actually lifted off out of our sight, but the landers were right there. Pretty great.
We left for the gate, walked up, and they called our gate. Yay. I hope the whole trip is that smooth.
Oh, I’m sure that Gary Bird has reminded everyone of this, but (assuming Germany is part of the itinerary) this is OFFICIALLY the “year of the tuba” in Germany – all year long. If the MC person doesn’t know this, it would be good to give them a heads up… Hope y’all are safely on the ground by this time…
Seriously!!! I can’t believe we are NOT going to Germany for the first time and we are missing the year of the tuba! We are only in France 🇫🇷
