It was Keith’s first day at his new job. His commute has remained constant – office right down at the end of the hall. He filled out paperwork and went to new employee training. He’s excited to be working with some old (previous) colleagues. The new company is called Khoros. I don’t know what they do. I assume Keith does.
I went to school. Part of the time I showed a video on biomes (my Wordle starting word for today. Got it in 3). In last hour, I had a kid loudly accompanying the video with his personal commentary. I went over and told him I wanted him to stop. He responded, “I don’t care.” Sometimes I don’t even know what to do with that. Sometimes I don’t even want to do anything with that.
After brass band rehearsal, we went to McDonald’s for hot fudge sundaes. It was terrific.

You have way more patience than I probably ever had, Barbara Thompson. And I had/have quite a lot of patience. After we get home I will Google Khoros. (We’re in Michigan City, Indiana tonight – home tomorrow afternoon!)
I certainly don’t have the patience I once had – but I keep trying. Save travels!
I read a bunch at once–great Sea World and zoo photos! I think your approach to the airline breakfast is good. Maybe all airline food would be excellent if we looked at it as entertainment instead of a dining experience. Another idea for what to do with the things you don’t know what are (syntax, anyone?) or don’t have anything to put on, like the almond butter, especially if they’re in wrappers or containers: See what bounces and what doesn’t. Admittedly, this could be tricky o
n a plane, but I’m absolutely confident you’d be up to the challenge. Just a thought.
Glad you’re home safe and that Keith’s first day seemed promising. Too bad you encountered the student flexing his apathy muscles. Maybe he’ll grow out of it.
I’m going to bounce them now!
So happy I taught 4 – 10 year olds. Keep up the good work Barbara.
Hope your day went well Keith.
