Flip 7

Well, it’s Groundhog Day, again, and Phil has seen his shadow and predicts 6 more weeks of winter. As I saw every year, I would be delighted with only 6 more weeks of winter.

Donna and Michael and Nancy tried to get away without playing the new game, Flip 7. Donna got it at Christmas, and it has been the hot activity in the family. There were four consecutive Saturday night game nights featuring it. I was very interested in playing, but last night we were too tired. If I had known how easy it was to learn and how much fun it is to play, I would have gotten off the couch for sure!

We played a game. Keith won, but there was an asterisk. There is an asterisk if someone thinks it might not have been a fair game. Donna was on her way to a win when Keith snuck in and won, but two cards got mis-shuffled, so…asterisk. The next game there was an asterisk because I got too many points one round and won. (The asterisk said…mmm….I don’t remember) The last game Keith just was a gamblin’ beast and went for broke and got an asterisk for being too lucky.

It is a terrific game. I want to play it with all the people. There is a lot of whoooping and cheering and laughing (I guess there wouldn’t be if you are not a whooper, cheerer, or laugher). But it is sold out everywhere. It isn’t even listed at Amazon! Augghh. What is that about? If you have it, I will play it with you.

  1. The world needs more plain old FUN right now – asterisks or not…. Just nice to see smiles!!
