I am now twice as old as Alexander. 🙂 We went to Red Lobster for all-you-can-eat shrimp, because shriiiiiiiiimp. I know, I am known as a seafood hater, but I like shrimp. We ate so much shrimp. It was fun.
Last week Thursday, while we were in Florida, Alexander paid off his house. Everything in our family is a game, and this was a great game he enjoyed playing. He saved for a year and a half toward the down payment before he bought it four years ago. It cost about 4.5 times his annual salary, so to carefully get it paid off in 4 years and 2 months was quite a feat. He was super careful making the last payment – being aware of bills he had to pay before his next paycheck. After figuring it all out, he was going to have a balance of $1. ONE dollar!! I could not love that more. He had food in the house and gas in the car and he could make it.
He can now say he paid off his house before he was 30. Well done. We look forward to watching what he does now.
Congratulations, Alexander.
Woo-hoo!!! Go, go, go, Alexander. Paid off house = more investment in shrimp (and other stuff)….
