We are home. The wind blew us through Iowa and into Minnesota. We stopped in Owatanna at the Russel Stover outlet store and bought a few chocolate things. Then we went to the Mall of America and bought a few chocolate things for prizes for my niece’s bridal shower.
We finished listening to Patrick Stewart’s book Making It So. We enjoyed listening to it, but I am not sure I like knowing more about the man than I liked just knowing Jean Luc Picard. He had a very interesting young life, growing up quite poor in Yorkshire (north) England. His original accent is decidely UNlike his current sound. There is nothing in the book to make me NOT like him, but he is more fallible than Jean Luc. Some autobiographies I have listened to made me feel like the author’s friend and that’s great. This one didn’t and that’s okay, but it made me think that maybe I should think a bit before I choose to listen in the future. Maybe it is easier to listen to someone to whom you don’t really attach a single character. Too many thoughts about something simple!
I have to pack for the next trip – tomorrow. G’night!
