We went to Olive Garden to celebrate our 36th anniversary. It was quite a treat to go to a restaurant. Our waiter, Noah, was delightful. We celebrated our day by over tipping him, which is one of my favorite things to do.
The day did not start off as well as it ended. We learned the sad news that both of Keith’s brothers-in-law lost their fathers last night. It was hard to even believe that both men passed during the same night. Keith’s family is now completely without their older generation. I guess we are now officially the older generation. Wow.
Keith finished the sod around the new brick (paver!) walkway. It looks really good. It’s hard to believe those decisions are made and the work is finished. YAY Keith!
And I spoke with you yesterday and didn’t say, “Happy Anniversary!” Sorry. Happy Anniversary!!! The walkway looks terrific. Bravo.
Thank you 🙂
I had forgotten that you guys got married almost exactly 10 years after we did (our anniversary is May 28). I did actually know that at one time. Anyway, glad it was mostly a good anniversary, and the PAVERS do look fantastic. What does Keith every do that doesn’t look fantastic? So sorry for the sad news. Time to “be there” for family. Sending good thoughts.
I thought of your anniversary was near as Benjamin was trying to remember what year he got married (he knew the date because his in-laws at called on their shared anniversary and reminded Benjin and Sean that it was their anniversary). Happy belated anniversary! Keith does do good work, doesn’t he? Thank you for your good thoughts.
Happy anniversary. Yes it is sad we are the older generation now. It’s inevitable though. The pavers do look great. Glad you took a photo because I had a hard time visualizing it…
Part of the problem in figuring out what to do with that area is that the path is really crooked. If we had bricked the whole thing, it would have involved cutting a lot of pavers to accommodate the narrowing/widening space. Using up the bricks (gah, pavers) we had and adding a few rolls of sod to the order seemed like a good idea – although we both wondered if it would look wonky. I think it turned out fine. We used your gift card last night – so thanks very much for buying us our anniversary dinner!
Your welcome!
Happy anniversary from Wales too.
Sorry to hear the sad news.
Well done Keith and also well done you for helping.
Thank you, Sheila.
