Alexander sent a message that he had heard the family was gathering with the Queen and I was sitting at my computer, looking for information when the Royal Family’s facebook page changed. What a sad moment. She welcomed a new prime minister two days ago, and today she is gone. How lucky for her not to linger.
I heard it said she stood with dignity and duty like no one else in the world. She lived a long life, well-lived with a sense of purpose.
You really can’t ask for more than that.
Very true Barbara. I’m just watching a service at St Paul’s Cathedral celebrating her life.
King Charles 111 has also given his first speech as King.
We now have a new Prime Minister and a new Monarch.
Prince William and Katherine are now the Prince and Princess of Wales.

We are not used to such changes happening so quickly. We knew it would happen, yet it was still such a surprise. Keith is getting a lot better all of a sudden – which is a wonderful change for the better.
