Home Again, Home Again

As if a Mediterranean vacation wasn’t enough, today we indulged. I read all day. Keith arranged music all day. It took me a while to stop feeling like I should clean the house and buy groceries and do laundry (okay, I actually did do the laundry), but once I gave in to my book, I just enjoyed and enjoyed. It helped when I realized that Keith was doing his idea of fun, too.

And we weren’t in the same room! (Not that I felt like I needed to get away, but it was kinda exciting)

I read Kristin Hannah’s The Women. I started it yesterday morning on the no in-flight entertainment flight, until I zonked out to sleep, and finished it today. I had heard from several friends that once you start you don’t want to put it down. So true. It is so well written it flows like water. Even though it isn’t suspenseful, you are living the main character’s life with her, and you need to keep living. I highly recommend it.

I think we should plan an indulgent day like this for every vacation re-entry. It really was nice.
