I helped!

Benjamin said today that Donna and the Daddy are neck and neck for being the hardest worker on this move. Yesterday Donna finished the three coats of paint needed in our new bedroom and today she set off on covering the ugly blue-grey and the uglier brown with a beautiful shade of tidalwave in Keith’s office.

And I helped! A little. I have only painted once before – more than 25 years ago I painted part of a half wall at the YMCA. The other volunteers said I was doing a terrible job and took my brush away. I did not know what I was doing wrong, but I have not tried to paint again.

I rolled lovely blue on the walls, the floor, the molding, the tarp, and my hand, but I did NOT get any on the ceiling. I am taking my wins where I can find them. Donna cleaned up all my messes, which everyone appreciated.

Keith almost finished the new floor, and did a bunch of smaller jobs while the room was being painted. Benjamin carried too many dresser drawers at once, over and over.

Daniel and Amanda came over to hot tub. On the house tour, Amanda found a razor blade disposal area. Inside the medicine chest there is a slot in the back. Apparently you dispose of used razor blades by inserting them so they drop between the studs in the wall and stay there forever. Who knew?! (Amanda) (and Keith. But he hadn’t noticed we had one). It was very exciting.

The slot’s name is apparently Miami Carey.

    1. It’s really improved. Do not believe the ads that say you can put in a plank floor in an hour 😂🤦‍♀️
