Jury Duty

Tuesday, January 21, 2025

Can you imagine me on a jury? I’d worry about it for the rest of my life. It’s a good thing it was Keith who was called. He spent the morning waiting after being given instructions. He texted me at the lunch break, wondering if he should drive 30 minutes home, eat, and drive 30 minutes back during his 90-minute break. I said go to Patriot’s Tavern – a place we love but never get to. He did. They didn’t have the favorite Ale Potted Beef, which is to die for, but he had wonderful lasagna.

After lunch, he got picked to be one of the people interviewed first by the judge, then by the lawyers. It took all afternoon, but he has been seated on the jury. The case starts tomorrow. He told me what I told you, but he cannot say a word about the case, so that’s it.

OoooooOOoooOoo.

I had no school because it was too cold. I worked on a puzzle with Maren.
