We watched the movie Marcel the Shell with Shoes on. I LOVED IT! It was one of the films nominated for an Oscar for best animated feature, but it didn’t win. I will have to seek out the winner – Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio – because it must be great to have beaten Marcel.
I loved it two minutes after we started watching it. I kept loving it all the way to the end. It’s on Showtime and Showtime offered us a free week trial. Showtime also has the best picture Oscar winner Everything Everywhere All at Once, so you could make it a great movie week!

We saw Marcel right when it came out – but I had forgotten about it. We also REALLY loved it. How could anybody not love that movie? Everyone should see it. While I didn’t see the winning (or any other) animated production, I’m disappointed that it didn’t win the Oscar.
We kept trying to see it, but our timing was never right. I’m very glad we finally got to see it. So enjoyable!!
