Carla saw a thing and signed us up to go to the million-crayon giveaway at the Crayola Experience at the Mall of America. We had (free) tickets for anytime today. We went in the afternoon, thinking that it might be quieter in the afternoon.
It was. There were two other twosomes there with us. We each got an empty box for 32 crayons. There was a wall of about 75 different colored crayons. We were delighted with the names of some of them – dandelion, macaroni and cheese, and fuzzy wuzzy to name a few. We went carefully through, looking for the best names (Carla was looking at color, too, I think. I was all about the names). After one pass, I still had 11 crayons to choose. Of course, I had forgotten what I chose the first time, so I had to dump them out and try to figure it out. It was quite a process. We had a great time.
Filled boxes in hand, we walked around the mall and looked in windows and around at mall stuff. We walked through Macy’s to go up on escalator and ran into the MOST BEAUTIFUL DRESSES! So. Many. Dresses. We needed a teen-ager to shop for for prom. This is a picture of my favorite one for me – if I had a party or a wedding or something to go to and lost 100ish pounds. It was absolutely delightful.

After a while, we went back to the crayons and did it again. They sent us each two tickets, so we could go again. We had just as much fun the second time.
I’m really hoping the flowers on the dress are made of dandelion and macaroni & cheese yellows.
