Mounds Park

I went for a walk (because I am still walking 15,000 steps/day. It’s much easier now, but still takes me a long time. I remain slow) at Mounds Park in St. Paul. I went early to beat the heat, and no one was around, except for one car. There was a man standing next to it, with the passenger door open, smoking. I parked in the shade, which was not near him. I hesitated to get out of the car before the friend I was meeting arrived. I thought I was being ridiculous, but then I thought better safe than sorry. My friend arrived and we set off – which was past the man. As we passed, we saw why he was just standing there. His pig was having an outing.

His pig.

Teehee. The pig’s name is Jimmy Dean, which I like so much. He is 5 months old and will be about 150 pounds when he is full grown. I liked seeing a pig.

We walked down to look at the cars going down Warner Road. It is so much fun to see things from a different perspective! I walked all the way over a pedestrian bridge with no fear of heights – I imagine it was because I don’t really have a fear of heights – I have a fear of falling from high, which I lazily call a fear of heights. The bridge was entirely enclosed in fence and there was no way to fall, so I didn’t have any difficulty walking across and enjoying the views.
