I thought it was April in February and I think it is October or November now. More than once, I have thought “gotta do that before it snows”, and once I had a brief moment of panic when I realized I had totally forgotten Christmas.
Today was a perfect day for an afternoon concert – cold, wet, and very unappealing. Keith and I have been listening to Henry Winkler’s autobiography audiobook in the car. We are almost finished. I think a lot of people think they kind of know some celebrities from talk shows and print articles and now social media, but I listen to someone read their own autobiography and not only do I know them, they are my friend. So, as we zoomed to Red Wing, Henry came along.
The Sheldon Theater brass band concert was a very nice program – much lighter than some of their spring concerts. There were four tunes with soloists, and Keith was first up with the same tune he played earlier this season with them – Orange Juice (from the guitar concerto). He had such a nice, warm, round sound in the hall – beautiful. There was a reception afterward. There were empanadas that were spectacular. I am going to have to try to figure out how to make them. Or go there again and order them.
Being Henry is a lovely book.
So you know him, too 🙂
