Jerry and Barbara returned to Eau Claire for the music department reunion – including a former tuba student coming from Norway. It is terrific to be able to gather with friends from all of the parts of your life. Jerry and Barbara were kind enough to dodge the boxes and not mention the utter chaos that is our house right now. It was so good to see them. I know they read the POTD every day and it has brought us closer. I think everyone should have a POTD. Maybe that is what Facebook should have become.
We went to another fine show up in Anoka at the Lyric Arts Theater – Sister Act. We saw two people with whom Keith plays big band going in to be in the pit orchestra – always an added bonus to hear friends play (and to know they are getting an opportunity to play).
Before we left Woodbury, we ALSO got to see Keith and Barbara’s new digs! Visits to the Thompsons will continue to be fun-filled events. Here’s to all of you who are coming around to help with the “next door move” during the coming week – including Benjamin, Alexander, Donna, and many others. It’s going to be fun to see the new place develop, and I know it’s also going to be a ton ‘o fun to have Rob and Marin and family as new neighbors. It’s always special to come to Woodbury!!! (But we ALL know that, right??)
