It’s Christmas Eve and the countdown calendar of gifts from my sister is empty. What an absolute delight it has been every day. As expected, I got 12 little puzzles (with no picture guidance) and unexpectedly, I got way better at doing puzzles!! I had so much fun doing them. I didn’t get a chance to do today’s yet, because it’s been a busy day and because when I do it, the calendar will really be done.
The other 12 days were treats curated to fit me! I can NOT tell you how exciting it was to get vanilla Tootsie rolls one day – and then two weeks later, get them again. I loooooove them and they are just not something you can easily find. What a treat! I have slowly been enjoying them, while saving everything else. I decided they will be my 12 days of Christmas treats – one per day until Epiphany. Having someone make an advent calendar especially for you might be the best thing – consider doing it for someone you love next year.
Alexander slept over last night and we all started the day out with a game – my new Stripes game. Everyone gave it two thumbs up. Keith and I were watching The Santa Clauses Disney+ series tonight – I love Tim Allen and am enjoying the show. It’s been festive all day, and now it’s time to sleep so Santa can come.
