That must have been some party because it was a very slow morning. We met the Jushkas at Kopps for an early lunch before setting off with Emma and Levi for home(s). We were there yesterday (because the flavor of the day was WEDDING CAKE!), but there is no such thing as too much Kopps. We were there first, after a little bit of morning groaning about tired toes and achy legs (so much dancing!) We sat in the newly discovered (yesterday) table outside under a tree. As the Jushkas unloaded and walked one by one down the sidewalk toward the restaurant, I was very amused that they were going very slowly. Donna said she went to bed at 2 and woke up at 4 with a drill being drilled through her head. William was asleep before the car left the parking lot (he was up VERY early for a flight from Dallas yesterday morning). Emma said she couldn’t remember being so tired (she hardly left the dance floor). Levi and Michael confessed to some fatigue and achiness, but were going pretty strong.
It’s probably a good thing Levi had an evening obligation in Menomonie, or we would have sat there all day, and then I would miss my real first day of work tomorrow. It was so good to have such family togetherness yesterday and today. Liz and Emma are married now, so we only have Alexander, William, and Mason left for weddings. We will have to keep planning other gatherings, because family is best.
