We have been to a Disney place every year since 1998. We were there just before everything shut down in March 2020. We went to Disneyland in 2021, Aulani in Hawaii in 2022, and we made a reservation to go to Disney World in August.
I haven’t really been in the mood. The press is awful. So much more expensive (as if it wasn’t already) for fewer live shows and smaller food portions and shorter hours and fewer cast members. They took away GREAT free stuff – the Magic Express that got you there and Fast Passes that got you your guaranteed fun. The new “shorter lines” options have flexible pricing – meaning if you need it because the parks are busy, it’s going to cost you double (or more).
Apparently, I’m still not really in the mood.
BUT real live people that I know have been there and had a good time. They said they didn’t need the fast pass replacements. They said the waits weren’t too long.
The hotel reservations are cancelable, so it wasn’t really much of a commitment. Today we got flights because they were decently priced, with a companion ticket, and they were at good times/days. I still think of plane tickets as set in stone, but I guess they aren’t (which is GREAT!). But we are definitely leaning into actually going.
When have you NOT had a good time going to Disney? You love it… Keep leaning….
Excellent point and excellent advice
And when did you schedule to go?
