I looove New Year’s! It feels so fresh and exciting – a new start while remembering all the good from the past year. My head has been absolutely bursting with thoughts. My showers have been extra-long, because I have gotten stuck in there thinking all the thoughts. I don’t know which I have been doing more of – remembering or looking forward.
We went to a New Year’s Eve show this afternoon at the Phipp’s. The music had me doing all the nostalgia. It was covers from all over time and genre. I was so interested in the fact that Carpenters’ tunes made me feel joyful – so utterly happy – but I have no memory of ever being their fan or listening to their music. I haven’t listened to the radio as an adult, but I guess I did as a kid and that gave me deep down happy memories.
We have a few things planned for the winter months, then the rest of the year is a wide-open possibility. How exciting!
Keith gave me the pink rhinestone boots for Christmas. What a great present. They are definitely not something I would buy for myself (or would I? I might, I guess). I wondered if I would ever wear them outside of the house and then the very first opportunity to do so, I did. Ha! Yay me. I guess it should be a rule: If you have pink rhinestone boots, you should wear them.
May your 2025 sparkle!!
Those boots are finer than frog’s hair split three ways, sanded, and tapered at both ends!
I believe that is the finest compliment one can get. Thank you and happy New Year!
Dollywood is calling, “Come and visit. Wear your pink rhinestone boots.”
Rollercoasters AND rhinestones! Win!
Spectacular is right! I’m so glad you decided to wear them out and about–they definitely deserve to be seen.✨
I chatted with the lady next to me before the show started. I was tempted to ask, “Did you see my shoes?” 🙂
