Today is the first day of spring break and we had nothing planned. It was fabulous to wake up late, read a bit, then fall back asleep until noon. Noon!
I have just been loving my job the past few months. The past two weeks I have been back in elementary media for my friend who was not well. I like hopping from school to school, doing classes that I like to do, but it is reallllly nice to be in one building, getting to know the kids and the staff. It’s really nice to feel part of something.
I brought home the Indi cars. They follow the information in the colored pads and you can build your own track. The green make it go/faster, red stop, yellow slow, blue right turn, pink left turn, and on and on. Keith was helping me learn and be ready for class, so this is really a picture from Thursday. I read a favorite book that had always been in my mom’s basement, The Dragon Who Likes to Spit Fire, to the littles at school. They absolutely loved it. When Darius whispered that he was going to spit just a little bit of pink fire, they were whispering back, “No! Don’t do it!” because they could see the orange fire on the facing page.
There is not much on the plan for the next week and that seems just about perfect.
Less planning, more fun….

Liz and I spent the week at Disney. I was on the lookout for you as I thought you might just show up. We didn’t even see your doppelgängers which we usually do.
