We saw the Minnesota orchestra perform the Symphony for our World by National Geographic at Orchestra Hall tonight.
Wow! There was an AMAZING movie of animals to watch while the orchestra played, but as good as that was, the music was every bit as good. I kept thinking EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE HERE! I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen for the whole first half – Seas, Shores, Plains, Desert – but when they got to frogs in the Forest, I closed my eyes and just listened. What a brilliant piece of music. It said the score was composed by Bleeding Fingers Sound. Huh. I am sad for them – that they are working their fingers so hard – but they certainly did a great job.
If you ever get a chance to see and hear it, do it!
We miss the Minnesota Orchestra….
So much tuba in the concert last night – thought of you a gazillion times
