The Last Nail

Saturday, March 15, 2025

I came back after 25 hours in Waukesha. Donna, Nancy, and I spent several hours sitting at Kopps after each having 1/2 and 1/3 of a hamburger. And custard. Delightful.

Keith and Benjamin had been working all day.

The plumbing fixing hadn’t gone so well last night, but the second attempt was successful this morning. Just about 8pm – when we brought cheesesteak and Italian beefs and the like home for dinner – Keith blasted the last nail in. After getting up at 5:45am today, he just practiced his trumpet now and is ready for sleeping. I’m going to call it early – all three projects are finished. New project of putting up drywall is for the future.

  1. It was a project kind of day. Tom and TJ spent the afternoon testing down and replacing two panels of cedar privacy fencing. Stacy, Holly and I played with Owen and told the boys they did a great job. After dinner we played Flip 7. We now have a four day streak going.
