We were making a list of what we needed to get done today while Keith was cooking his breakfast (air frying two pastel de nata and making soda stream Mt. Dew) (not quite John Belushi’s original breakfast of champions, but so close). He was ready to eat when he said, “Do you want me to take a picture for potd, in case nothing else great happens today?” I said no, I knew we were going to a play tonight.
Except we didn’t.
We really tried to get everything ready for our company tomorrow, but it really wasn’t allowing any sitting down time and there were so many things left to do. I suggested we switch the show to another night. Next Friday was the only night available for us and the show, but the box office didn’t open until 90 minutes before curtain. That is the time we had set to leave, since it is a long drive to the other side of town, and we were going to have an Erberts and Gerberts sandwich (only a few blocks away from the theater and nowhere near here!) in the parking lot once we got there. We continued to scurry, because we didn’t even know if they would be interested in letting us switch nights. They finally answered the phone at 6:10 and made the switch.
We sat down.
We still aren’t done with all the things, but we have gotten to the “oh, well” stage. We really never get past the “oh, well” stage, so that seems fine.
