Therapy Animals

Sunday, December 22, 2024

My friend Maren and I went to the Mall of America to do some shopping today. She had gifts to buy, and I had walking along to do. It was great. She had ideas of where to go, so we zipped around from here to there. I even bought some things. I will admit the first thing I bought was hard, because I didn’t know how to check out. Do you just wave your phone around, or do you tap the credit card, or do you put the credit card in, or what? I put the credit card in and then the lady said to sign. Sign on the one-inch screen with my finger? It was so silly (I made a B and a squiggle) that I got giggly.

Not long after we got there, we saw a big fluffy dog by a sign for therapy animals. Maren thought it was a llama. We remembered when we thought I should get a llama for my backyard. It was an idea. We have a LOT of ideas with zero to no follow through. Probably a good thing with the llama idea. We looked around a bit and found a llama and an alpaca (they are different, you know. Of course, you know that because if they were the same, they would be called two llamas or two alpacas) and a pony. It was pretty exciting. Just animals in the mall. We went by them several times. It was nice every time.

Tomorrow’s theme will be snowmen, or a snowman. Snowmans. I am having a little trouble with that. I might be tired. Send your Snowman(s) pictures by 10pm December 23 and I will get them in the potd. (December 23? Wow!)

Here are the treats of the day, from Nancy (2), Louise, Barbara, Sean, Keith, and me (2).
